The MTRPA continues to work hard at keeping our communities and members safe. Given the current climate of COVID-19 and the Delta variant, our president, Mitch Overton, called an emergency board meeting to discuss the MTRPA State Conference in Great Falls.
EMERGENCY BOARD MEETING SUMMARY
The MTRPA Board met Friday 9/3/21 at 2pm via Zoom to discuss either continuing with a hybrid virtual/in-person conference, go completely virtual, or reschedule to next spring. While many other state and national conferences are being canceled, rescheduled, or limited, the MTRPA Board voted unanimously to reschedule the conference to next spring.
The MTRPA still plans to have an executive board meeting and business meeting scheduled October 3rd. Along with that, we are working to plan some fun virtual fall activities like virtual round tables, virtual coffee with a student, and more.
This motion will set our association up to provide annual spring conferences vs. fall conferences. This move to spring has been a goal for our association for a couple years, which was compromised with the reschedule for our 2020 Spring Conference to a 2021 Fall Conference. Now, moving fully to the spring, we anticipate this spring’s 2022 conference to be a packed event followed by many annual spring conferences to come!
2021 CONFERENCE MOVES TO 2022
While the dates are still to be determined, the MTRPA 2021 Fall Conference will move to Spring 2022. We will still plan to meet in the same host city, Great Falls, MT.
Have you already registered? Tickets for current registrants will be rolled over to our spring conference. If you need a refund, contact us.
